Q1 Design and Manufacturing is a dedicated manufacturing facility within the HyPower group, set up to be a central engineering and fabrication division for all HyPower branches, providing a concentrated technical group specializing in hydraulic system design and supply. Q1 Design is a supplier of hydraulic systems to numerous major forestry equipment manufacturers in B.C. as well as other key industries. Our well equipped 10,600 sq-ft facility located in Delta B.C. employs approximately 16 people. Q1 Design's first class engineering and Hydraulic Power Unit build experience make HyPower the leader in hydraulic system supply in Western Canada, as well as internationally. We offer turnkey systems to every major industry.

The Q1 Design facility includes 8600 sq-ft of shop area and 2000 sq-ft of office area. On site equipment includes:

Power Unit Testing Procedures

Every Power Unit manufactured by Q1 Design is fully tested and inspected against a comprehensive check list before being shipped to customer. All pump drives are run up to design pressure, pressure control devices are set, tagged and components are checked against the schematic and bill of materials to minimize any start up problems. Maintenance manuals are supplied and digital photographs are taken and kept on file.

Technical People

Q1 Design employs four Certified Fluid Power Specialists who act as project engineers. Their education and experience is available to meet your technical challenges. Our shop personnel are highly skilled welder/fabricators with many years experience in the hydraulic industry who take pride and interest in what they build.
